Every pilot tests the platform on real ground. Side-by-side trials measure how the Phi Tech protocol performs on a specific crop and soil profile, against a control, with independent laboratory analysis. The same sites run MRV version 1, building the batch record to the requirements of different regulatory frameworks.

How we run trials

Instrumented, side-by-side, control-referenced

Every Phi Tech trial is designed to produce comparable data. The structure is fixed before a trial begins and does not change once it is underway.

  1. Principle 01

    Side-by-side plots

    Treated and control plots are run simultaneously on the same land parcel, under the same management conditions, with the same crop variety. This isolates the variable being tested.

  2. Principle 02

    Fixed treatment arms

    Each trial tests a defined set of conditions: typically a control, one or more biological input treatments, one or more soil amendment treatments, and where relevant, combination arms. Treatment formulations are documented and locked before planting.

  3. Principle 03

    Instrumented measurement

    We measure soil health indicators, plant emergence, growth rates, and yield at fixed intervals. Sensors and manual sampling are both used. Data is logged with timestamps and plot references.

  4. Principle 04

    Third-party laboratory analysis

    Soil and plant samples go to accredited external laboratories. We do not analyse samples in-house. Laboratory certificates accompany all published results.

  5. Principle 05

    Fixed measurement dates

    Measurement points are set in the trial protocol before data collection begins. We do not move measurement dates to capture a better reading.

  6. Principle 06

    Partner technology disclosure

    Trials test partner technologies. Partner names and product specifications are documented in the trial record. We do not describe partner technology as proprietary to Phi Earth.

Each trial question has a defined protocol, a measurement method, and a publication point. Status reflects the current trial cycle.
